For patients to feel confident to do this, they must be empowered to do this. Nurses play a major role in coaching patients to work with their caregivers to achieve their treatment goals.
The goal of this CE offering is to provide information nurses can use to promote patient adherence to treatment plans. After reading this article, you will be able to:
1. Describe the stages of change.
2. Advocate for and with patients in their healthcare.
3. Discuss the components of sensory processing and executive function as the foundation for human processing.
4. Develop a checklist for informing the patient of a new strategy for healthcare.
